New Yamaha Receivers Offer Exclusive Audio and Video Features

February 25, 2008 – Yamaha today unveiled a new line of digital home theater receivers that further extend high end functionality, flexibility and intuitive operation at moderate price points. Integrated among the line of five models (RX-V863, 105Wx7, MSRP $999.95; RX-V663, 95Wx7, MRSP $549.95; RX-V563, 90Wx7, MSRP $449.95; RX-V463, 105Wx5, MSRP $349.95; and RX-V363, 100Wx5, MSRP $229.95) are features such as 1080p-compatible HDMI switching, wireless Bluetooth audio playback and iPod-compatibility (with optional accessories), XM and Sirius Satellite Radio compatibility, four system-configuring SCENE modes and improved CINEMA DSP Technology.

At the top of the new line, the RX-V863 and RX-V663 support the newest Blu-ray HD audio surround sound formats, such as the “lossy” Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio formats and “lossless” Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio formats. New Yamaha HTiBs - Multi-Source Compatibility, Sleek Design

February 25, 2008 – Yamaha Electronics Corporation introduces its latest line of Home-Theater-in-a-Box (HTIB) systems that provides consumers with the ability to playback content from Sirius and XM Satellite Radio, as well as iPods or Bluetooth (A2DP) enabled phones, computers and PDAs with optional Yamaha direct connect accessories. In addition, all systems feature SCENE modes to instantly access any entertainment source and surround sound experience, and Compressed Music Enhancer that improves the sound quality of compressed music from any audio source. The top two systems in the line have YPAO system calibration and intuitive onscreen displays for all system functions.

To deliver the highest possible video quality to HD displays, all systems feature an HDMI interface, with two inputs and one output, for connecting up to two HDMI sources, such as Blu-ray players and high definition set-top boxes. Yamaha Introduces New High Performance DVD Players

August 13, 2007—Yamaha, the innovator in home theater and digital audio and video reproduction, today introduced the DVD-S1800 universal DVD player and the DVD-C961 Super Audio CD/DVD-Audio Changer. Both feature a host of advanced features and capabilities designed to maximize the performance of high-end home theater installations. Ideal for those who demand the ultimate in video and audio realism, the DVD-S1800 and DVD-C961 not only offer 1080p video output via HDMI, but also support DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD playback. The DVD-S1800 DVD player and DVD-C961 changer both utilize industry-leading video processing technologies to deliver remarkable performance. In addition to upconverting video to 1080p, the units can also output 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080i signals, all over a pure digital HDMI connection. To ensure the highest possible video quality even through their analog outputs, the models also feature a 216MHz/12-bit high-performance video DAC. Noise Shaped Video(TM) technology from Analog Devices uses oversampling and sophisticated techniques such as multi-bit sigma-delta processing and bit-shuffling to relocate converter noise to a part of the spectrum where it can be removed by an analog filter. Yamaha Introduces New Full-Features Mid-Class Receivers
