ViewSonic Announces $249 ViewBook 730

ViewSonic added a new model to its ViewBook tablet line this week. Designed for first time tablet buyers, the ViewBook 730 is priced at only $249.

The ViewBook 730 features a 800x480 touchscreen display, runs Android 2.2, and its 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor is capable of 1080p video output via HDMI. It also includes a front-facing VGA camera for video chat, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 8GB of memory, and a microSD slot for an additional 32GB of storage. Amazon Kindle software is pre-installed too, for all the eBook readers out there.

The device also comes with a stylus for taking notes or working on art projects using the pre-installed Sketcher app. You can write directly on the screen, swipe across content and scroll through emails, thanks to the tablet's RiteTouch technology.Read more

ViewSonic Rolls Out Two New ULV Notebooks and an All-in-One PC

ViewSonic's first ULV notebook was announced in January at CES and now the company has added two more notebooks to its ULV line, the 14-inch VNB141 ViewBook and 13.3-inch VNB132. ViewSonic also added a new 19" All-in-One PC to its lineup, the VPC190.

The ViewSonic 14" VNB141 ViewBook features a ULV SU7300 Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Windows 7 Home Premium, 2GB of RAM and 250GB hard drive. The VNB141 also has a 1.3MB built-in webcam, 6 cell battery and integrated DVD RW Super Multi Drive. Connectivity options include two USB ports, integrated 802.11b/g/n wireless, and VGA and HDMI outputs.Read more
