DVD Review: Scary Movie

Scary MovieMaking a spoof of a satire could prove to be an impossible task, but the Wayans clan seems to pull it off with “Scary Movie,” a laugh-filled take-off on the recent spate of R-rated slasher films...aimed at kids theoretically too young to see them. (That’s a joke in itself). You’ll find just about every typical “Scream”-genre scene lampooned here as a masked killer stalks a group of familiar-looking teens. Lots of laughs. DVD Review: Me, Myself & Irene

Me, Myself and IreneCharlie Baileygates (Carrey) is a really nice guy. Too nice for his own good. The love of his life deserted him and left the triplets she made with the limo driver from their wedding in his care, small children hurl insults, and no one in town respects him as an officer of the law. But, Charlie just breathes a heavy sigh and takes it. That is, until the day he finally snaps, and his evil alter-ego Hank is born to exact revenge on all those who have belittled him. But there's trouble between Charlie and Hank when they both fall for the same girl (Zellweger). Me, Myself & Irene is the strangest love triangle you'll ever encounter. (Laurie Sevano) Read more
