
Nintendo's newest handheld game system,the Game Boy Advance, will be released on June 11th.
Game Boy Advance has increased the screen size of the original Game Boy by 50%, picture resolution by 66%, and features two new control buttons for more varied ways to play. Some multi-player software titles will be available and allow up to four Game Boy Advance units to be linked together by an optional cable with all four players using a single game cartridge. The Game Boy Advance unit can be used as a controller for the upcoming Nintendo GameCube console. The Game Boy Advance will be available in three colors: Arctic (white), Glacier (translucent blue), and Indigo (violet) and will retail for about $100.
More than 60 Game Boy Advance titles will be available by Christmas and will sell for between $30 and $40. Most original Game Boy titles are compatible with the Game Boy Advance.
