A Plentitude of Playstation2's

Playstation 2 Are you still looking for a Playstation 2? Do you want to play the latest games, or were you unable to find one for a kid during the holidays? Despite the shortage of PS2 units, production of the system has increased significantly since October of 2001. PS2 units are readily available on online stores.
PS2 Bargains.com is a site that keeps track of coupons and special offers on PS2 games and accessories. It also tracks system availability at several websites.

Sites that frequently have available PS2 units include EBworld.com, Gamestop.com, Amazon.com and Sony's official Playstation.com website.

Most online stores sell the systems in "bundle packs" which include the system with games and accessories such as an extra controller and a memory card. One reason is to deter people who would buy extra PS2 units and sell them for an inflated price on auctions and classified ads. However, some sites such as Playstation.com sell the system by itself for $299.99.

It is a good idea to calculate the total price of the combined items in the bundle pack to make sure that the website is not selling the units at an inflated price. EBWorld and Gamestop's prices meet the cost of the bundled items as if they were sold separately.

If you do not wish to buy a PS2 online, you can check local stores, although availability is still extremely limited. Calling stores is not always a guarantee of securing a system, because employees are often told to lie about the system and shipments to avoid crowds of people in the stores.
