The Fairmont Chicago Named Official Hotel for Grant Park Music Festival

April 2005 - This summer, The Fairmont Chicago and The Grant Park Music Festival have partnered to make beautiful music together with “The Grant Park Music Festival Package.”

The Fairmont Chicago, the official hotel for the 2005 Grant Park Music Festival, is offering this exclusive package to celebrate the Festival’s 71st anniversary and its recent move to Millennium Park, Chicago’s newest lakefront landmark.

The Fairmont Chicago “Grant Park Music Festival Package” includes: overnight accommodations for two in a luxurious Fairmont guestroom, two preferred seating passes to the Grant Park Music Festival, (performance nights only) late check-out of 5:00 p.m. on your departure day and overnight Valet Parking

The Grant Park Music Festival’s 71st season officially kicks off on June 15 in the Joan W. and Irving B. Harris Theater for Music and Dance, a state-of-the-art indoor venue for performances ranging from classical ballet and contemporary dance to classical, chamber, opera and folk music.

In July, the Festival moves outdoors to the much-anticipated Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. This first permanent outdoor installation of its kind in the United States, the outdoor pavilion features digitally processed "virtual architecture" and an open-air acoustical canopy to create a state-of-the-art sonic experience.
