Our Lucaya is Back and Better Than Ever Before

The Westin and Sheraton at Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort is giving travelers a better hotel experience. A 25 percent discount and $50 spa certificate are offered to guests as a result of recent harrowing weather conditions.

“We want to let guests know that paradise is still here, and invite them to take advantage of these special rates. Not only are our hotels back, they’re better and we want our guests to feel better too, that’s why we added spa discounts,” says Jim Curtis, director of sales and marketing for The Westin and Sheraton at Our Lucaya, a Starwood Hotels resort.

Hurricane Frances caused both hotels to briefly close their doors to visitors for hotel renovation and detailing that will make the hotels “better” for guests. Sheraton at Our Lucaya, originally scheduled for an Oct. 1 reopening will now reopen Oct. 14 as a result of minor damages sustained during Hurricane Jeanne, the second hurricane to hit the island in three weeks. The Westin at Our Lucaya is scheduled to reopen Oct. 31. The Westin Our Lucaya is taking this opportunity to complete renovations that were originally scheduled for later this year.

The 25 percent discount applies to the best available rate for Traditional Island View rooms. Currently, discounted rates are $109 at Sheraton and $129 at The Westin for single or double occupancy. As always, kids under 18 stay free (taxes, service and resort fees apply).

Guests also have the option of a room upgrade. At Sheraton Our Lucaya, an upgrade to Pool View is $40 and Ocean View is $80. The Westin Our Lucaya is offering an upgrade to Marina View for $10 and Ocean View for $90.
