The partial reopening of the New Orleans venue will serve as a bridge for nationally touring artists to return to the city and provide local musicians with a pipeline of employment and an opportunity to showcase their incredible talent. "We are proud to showcase several of New Orleans homegrown artists to help us ring in the New Year," says Sonny Schneidau, Talent Buyer for House of Blues New Orleans.

Following the impact of Hurricane Katrina, HOB Entertainment, Inc. has taken part in a number of fund-raising efforts designed to assist those affected by the devastation, including a Pearl Jam / Robert Plant benefit concert at House of Blues Chicago which raised more than $1 million for American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Jazz Foundation of America and the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic. Net proceeds from "Second Line on Sunset: A Celebration of New Orleans Music To Benefit The Musicians of Louisiana" went to the MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund and was sponsored by House of Blues, Michael Murphy Productions, Gibson Guitar, MSN and Putumayo World Music.
