Ashford Castle Offers Third Night Free to Ring in the New Year

The legendary Ashford Castle in County Mayo continues to perpetuate the legend with its New Year's offer. Guests receive special rates from December 31 - January 2 and a third night complimentary on January 2, 2006.

Rates for the three nights, at this 83-room castle, the former estate of the Guinness family, range from €950 per room double occupancy for a standard room to €1250 per suite double occupancy, a 33% savings off the usual rates.

This New Year's program includes: daily breakfast, mulled wine on arrival, welcome cocktail party, a gala New Year's Eve dinner and dance in the George V restaurant, brunch and afternoon tea on New Year's Day. A treasure hunt, chamber music performance and a boating excursion on the Lady Ardilaun are some of the activities offered to celebrate the New Year.
