$150K Valentine
The Buckingham Hotel is luring conspicuous spenders to the parkside property with a $150K Valentine’s Day package. Located in the midst of New York's world-famous cultural district, the Buckingham Hotel is no stranger to the art of love. If the walls of this musically historic hotel could sing, guests would be treated to a medley of fairy tales come true.
Two lovebirds will be whisked away from anywhere in the continental U.S. to New York in their very own G4 jet. Upon touchdown, a limo will take the scenic route over the breathtaking George Washington bridge while playing a CD of “The Most Romanic Classical Music In The Universe” provided by the Buckingham. The couple will then be checked into the property's newly reopened luxury triplex Martinelli Penthouse to behold its 360 degree views of the stunning midtown Manhattan skyline. Down below, a horse-drawn carriage will await and lead them through a sunset jaunt through 150-year-old Central Park.
Cuddled under the carriage canopy, the guests will be able to witness the sun venture west as it casts a golden glow above the park’s trees and the surrounding skyline -- before coming to a stop in front of a park bench named in the couples honor with an inscribed plaque.
Upon return, a candlelit dinner for two will be privately catered in front of the Martinelli Penthouse’s regal fireplace by Nobu Fifty Seven, the new uptown creation of famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa. After the meal has been finished, turndown service will leave a heart-shaped assortment of Le Belge Chocolates. The duo will then enjoy a champagne toast accompanied by a private piano concert from a world renowned Steinway pianist on a baby Grand provided by the Steinway & Sons piano galleries located next door to the Buckingham.
In the morning, a personal concierge will provide the twosome a tour through the neighborhood’s more upscale stores and sites such as Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany’s, the renowned 57th Street art galleries, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
A musically themed keepsake will be provided from each of the aforementioned stores. Tiffany’s will bestow upon the couple an 18-karat gold lyre charm. Two guitar credit card holders, made of black leather with gray and white print, will be provided by one of New York’s most established department stores, Bergdorf Goodman. From the galleries on 57th Street, a painting from the famed Fuller Building will be pre-purchased. Two Iolanta opera glasses will be given by the Lincoln Center, the world’s largest performing arts center. A 2-CD box set from Carnegie Hall will also be given as a momento of the world famous music institution that neighbors the Buckingham.
A limo will then drive the couple back to the airport where their private G4 idles for their return.
Belated Valentine
For couples on a budget, the property is also offering a more accessible option. During President's Day weekend following Valentine's Day, couples can book the Buckingham off-season as part of its Belated
Valentine Package which for $299 per night includes a spacious suite, a horse carriage ride through Central Park and a bottle of champagne (two-night minimum, double occupancy, taxes not included).
