PT-LZ370U 3,000 lumen projector ideal for applications requiring high quality images

February 7, 2012 --(BUSINESS WIRE)--Panasonic, a provider of professional projector solutions, today announced the PT-LZ370U, a full HD, 3,000 lumen LCD projector that delivers excellent image quality for applications such as lectures and presentations. With 1920 x 1080 resolution, the PT-LZ370U provides high definition projection for presentations with detailed images or when showing Blu-ray or HD content. In addition to presentation environments, the projector is ideal for applications that demand high color fidelity and fine detail reproduction, including engineering, R&D, and art history and film classes.

The PT-LZ370U has a 10,000:1 contrast ratio with a Dynamic Iris Pro system that is capable of analyzing the brightness level of each image and adjusting the lamp power, iris and gamma curve accordingly. The clarity of the full HD resolution is further boosted by Panasonic’s proprietary Detail Clarity Processor 3 technology and the Daylight View Premium feature, which measures the ambient light in the room and adjusts the brightness. Oregon Scientific Announces a Hinged Portable WiFi Projector

Oregon Scientific announced a new DLP pico projector last week at CES. The Portable WiFi Projector can display FWVGA 854 x 480 at 1,000:1 contrast and a 80 lumens of brightness. If it's plugged into the USB alone, it only shines at 50 lumens. At about 3.2 meters from the wall, it will display a 120-inch wide picture in total darkness. The Oregon Scientific projector will also have a 90-degree hinge, a focus slide, a 3.5mm headphone jack and controls for brightness and power.

The top of the base acts as a touch-based controller for the brightness and volume. You simply slide your fingertip towards the center to reduce both, and slide outwards to increase the volume and brightness.Read more

Panasonic Outs Three New Portable LCD Projectors

Panasonic this week unveiled three new portable LCD projectors - the PT-LW25HU, PT-LX30HU and PT-LX26HU. Great for road warriors, the projectors weigh in at just 6.6 lbs. each and measure 13.7" x 4.1" x 9.7".

Featuring the latest in 3LCD display technology, all three in the PT-LW25H Series deliver bright, high-contrast images and include features mobile users can appreciate such as preset picture modes and Real-Time Keystone correction, which automatically squares the image.

As far as specs are concerned, the PT-LW25HU is a WXGA (1,280 x 800 pixels) resolution, 2,500 lumen brightness projector with a high 3,000:1 contrast ratio. The PT-LX30HU and PT-LX26HU have XGA (1,024 x 768 pixels) resolution, a 2,500:1 contrast ratio, and 3,000 and 2,600 lumens ratings, respectively.

Panasonic says the projectors offer a maximum lamp and filter replacement cycle of up to 4,000 hours, and the company's free Multi Projector Monitoring and Control Software can be used to operate the controls remotely.Read more

Canon Unveils LV-8235 Ultra-Short Throw Projector with 3D Capability

Canon on Tuesday unveiled the LV-8235, an ultra-short throw mulitmedia projector that can project an 80-inch picture from a distance of only 1.04 ft. Boasting a high brightness rating of 2500 lumens and widescreen WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, the projector is ideal for presenting HD video or graphics created on widescreen laptops.

Aimed at the educational market or for advertising/digital signage use, the LV-8235 UST can be placed on a table or be mounted either horizontally or vertically on a wall, ceiling or floor.
