Canon Outs Ten New PowerShot Digital Cameras

Canon on Tuesday took the wraps off of ten new PowerShot digital cameras. The lineup includes Wi-Fi models, a new rugged digital cam, and one with a 20x zoom (to name a few).

First up is the flagship of the ELPH line - the PowerShot ELPH 530 HS. Measuring in at a mere .78 inches thick, this Wi-Fi enabled camera packs a 10-megapixel high-sensitivity CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 image processor, and 12x optical zoom into its tiny body.

The ELPH 530 HS sports a 3.2-inch LCD touch screen and also records 1080p Full HD video. Additional features include Smart AUTO scene selection with 58 scenes, Face ID for up to 12 registered subjects and Intelligent Image Stabilization (IS).

Canon Introduces Three New Lenses

Canon Announces New PIXMA Printers with AirPrint Support

February 7, 2012 – Canon today announced AirPrint support in the PIXMA MX512 and MX432 Wireless Office All-In-One inkjet printers.

AirPrint enables iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users to wirelessly print photos, email, web pages and documents without the need to install device drivers, saving time and enabling a seamless user experience.

AirPrint will be available with the majority of Canon PIXMA Wireless All-In-One inkjet printers launched from this point forward. AirPrint works with iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPod touch (3rd generation and later) running using iOS 4.2 or later.

As more and more people conduct business on-the-go, the need for mobile scanning is growing. Earlier this week Brother introduced a new mobile scanner, and now Canon is adding a new portable scanner to its imageFORMULA line.

The imageFORMULA P-215 Personal Document Scanner can easily fit into a briefcase (or backpack), measuring 11 inches long and weighing in at just over two pounds. It features an automatic document feeder, as well as an integrated card scanner for scanning plastic ID cards, driver licenses and embossed cards.

Powered via a USB cable, the P-215 scanner can scan a batch of up to 20 documents at 15 ppm (max) in color or black and white. It also includes features such as Character Emphasis and Auto Resolution to improve the legibility of hard-to-capture documents.Read more

Canon Unveils New 4K Concept EOS Digital SLR Camera

Big news from Canon today! In addition to announcing a new digital camera for Movie Production, the EOS C300 Digital Cinema Camera, new EF Cinema Lenses, and a brand new Cinema EOS System, the company said that they have a new Canon Digital SLR camera in the works.

Under development is a new-concept EOS-series digital single-lens reflex (SLR) camera which will be "ideally suited for cinematographic and other digital high-resolution production applications." It will feature a 35 mm full-frame CMOS sensor and will be capable of recording of 4K video (at a frame rate of 24P, with Motion-JPEG compression).
