Sony is releasing a new PSP entertainment pack on August 30th for all you football and racing fans. The new bundle consists of a black PSP-3000, 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, and both Madden NFL 12 and Need for Speed SHIFT on UMD. You'll be able to pick it up for just $159.99.

Madden NFL 12 includes all 32 NFL teams, stadiums, and your favorite players. The top features of the game include Superstar and Franchise modes and the opportunity to create your own plays in game. Released the same date as this special bundle, the game on it's own is priced at $39.99.

Need for Speed SHIFT simulates the feeling of driving high-end performance cars and combines a fast-paced racing experience, competitive racing AI, and dynamic crashes across a wide range of technically challenging race tracks. Need for Speed SHIFT currently sells for $32.99 at Amazon.com.

New PSP Dual Packs - Two Games for $15

This week Sony announced the new PSP "Dual Pack" software line which includes two popular PSP games from the company's Greatest Hits and Favorites collections in one package. And the best part? The new Dual Packs are priced at just $14.99!

Three new Dual Packs will be available beginning this week, and they are:

  • Secret Agent Clank and Daxter
  • Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow and Killzone Liberation
  • Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo.

Sony Outs New Limited Edition Bundles for PSP and PlayStation 3

This week, Sony announced a new Limited Edition PSP Entertainment Pack - just in time for graduation and Father's Day gift giving. The PSP bundle includes a "piano black" PSP-3000 system, 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo and two of their biggest portable titles — MLB 11 The Show and Gran Turismo.

The Limited Edition PSP Entertainment Pack will be available this June for $159.99.

In addition, Sony unveiled a new Limited Edition PS3 Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle. Hitting stores May 31, 2011, the Limited Edition PlayStation 3 Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle includes a 160 GB PS3 system, a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops, along with the First Strike Content Pack included free. Sony Drops Price of PSP to $129.99

Sony announced this week that they are lowering the price of their PSP-3000 system. Starting February 27, 2011, you'll be able to pick it up for $129.99 - a savings of $40! In addition, entertainment bundles, or as Sony likes to call them, "PSP Entertainment Packs," will be available for $159.99.

To go along with this announcement, Sony has also expanded its $19.99 PSP Greatest Hits and Favorites collections.

Madden NFL 11 PSP Bundle Touches Down August 10

Summer will be coming to an end soon, which means (to just about every living and breathing man) football season is almost here! Sony wants to get your football fever started with the announcement of the Madden NFL 11 PSP bundle. Available August 10, the bundle includes a Black PSP-3000 system and the Madden NFL 11 UMD game. It will be available for $169.99. Not a bad deal, considering that's the price of the PSP itself. In essence, you're getting the $40 game for free.

Features of the Madden NFL 11 game include a new GameFlow system, which puts you in the helmet of an NFL quarterback to execute game plays; a new playcall system reduces the 60 minute game times to 30 minutes; 3-on-3 online team play; and Madden NFL Ultimate Team. Gus Johnson supplies his voice for play-by-play recaps.

The Madden NFL 11 PSP bundle will be available on August 10, 2010 for $169.99.

Review - Dissidia: Final Fantasy

For those of you wondering, "dissidia" is technically not a word. However, some speculate that it could possibly be derived from the Latin word "dissidium," which roughly translates to "one that causes conflicts." The English word "dissident" is derived from it, too.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy (D:FF) looks gorgeous on the PSP. All the characters are fully detailed from their clothes and weapons to their physical characteristics. The areas that you fight in are detailed just as nicely, too. And each character's attacks (physical or magical) are very flashy and vibrant. Additionally, the cutscenes, especially the Intro, are stunning.Read more
