Monster Cable and Dr. Dre today announced yet another addition to the Beats by Dr. Dre headphone line, and this one is for sports fans. The new Beats by Dr. Dre Red Sox Edition headphones feature official Boston Red Sox team colors and insignia and are the first-ever Major League Baseball licensed Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.

Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine, and Head Monster Noel Lee joined the Red Sox at Sunday night's season-opening game at Fenway Park to announce the Red Sox Edition headphones.

Noted Mr. Lee, "When we designed the Beats headphones we wanted to create a headphone that would provide a greater listening experience for iPod, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry or Zune users. Red Sox fans will enjoy not only their comfort and style, but their 'ear opening' sound that is unequaled in any other headphone."

The Beats by Dr. Dre Red Sox Edition headphones will be available at Best Buy and other retailers for $399.95.

Best Buy Mobile just announced the exclusive launch of Diddybeats In-Ear Headphones from Monster and Beats by Dre. These in-ear headphones are not only great for MP3 devices, but ideal for listening to music on your mobile phone.

The headphones feature Monster ControlTalk which allows you to listen to music as well as provide hands-free calling. They also come with a Sean John-inspired travel case, feature a leather-wrapped aluminum housing, and the black flat cable design keeps you tangle-free.

Dr. Dre and Jimmy Lovine, Beats Electronics co-founder, have teamed up with HP on a new limited edition notebook, the HP ENVY 15.

Starting at 5.19 pounds and just 1-inch thick, the HP ENVY 15 Beats limited edition notebook PC features the Intel Core i7 mobile processor and a choice of two 15.6-inch HP BrightView LED backlit displays, including the full high-definition LED HP Ultra BrightView Widescreen Display. A Nightvision VGA webcam is optimized for low-light conditions and is standard. The notebook also includes Beats by Dr. Dre Studio High-Definition Headphones and an external optical drive. Heartbeats by Lady Gaga is the latest addition to the popular Beats by Dr. Dre headphone line from Monster.

Heartbeats by Lady Gaga are high-performance headphones and will be available in three styles; a metallicized body with a rose red jewel-shaped earpiece, metallicized body with an all chrome jewel-shaped earpiece and a black-on-black body and jewel-shaped earpiece design. The headphones come in a red carrying case and with a variety of eartips for a comfortable fit. They also feature Monster's tangle-resistant flat cable design.

The headphones are also available with ControlTalk, an on-cable feature for use with 3GS iPhone, iPod shuffle and other portable music devices. The Monster ControlTalk headphone cable features a microphone and answer button and allows users to access music and answer phone calls by pushing a button on the cable rather than from the device.

With everything going wireless, Monster Cable’s founder Noel Lee has to do something to keep the Monster Cable brand alive. In recent years the company has entered into the consumer electronics field with products for your iPod and other electronic devices. I particularly like Beats by Dr. Dre headphones that feature Powered Isolation technology for reduced external noise and deep bass and have extra large 40mm drivers. The Beats by Dr. Dre headphones have an MSRP of $349.99.

Lee recently said, “Hearing is believing.” If you have not invested in good headphones before, you might want to research this purchase and compare it with others in the market and make the plunge. After all, Dr. Dre knows his music, and his co-development with Monster only guarantees that you will hear Dr. Dre’s music the way he intends for it to be heard. My only suggestion is to trust your ears.
