HP has announced the Folio 13 Ultrabook. It measures 0.7 inches thick and weighs 3.3 pounds which makes it a little heavier than the MacBook Air. One of the deal-breakers of the Folio 13 is that it has a battery that has enough juice to power the Ultrabook for up to 9 hours.
The Folio 13 has a metal outer shell, a backlit keyboard and a single-surface Imagepad for the trackpad. Technical specs include a 128GB SSD as standard, along with 4GB of RAM. The processor is a 1.4GHz Core i3, although it has an optional 1.6GHz Core i5 for those interested in more power. For connectivity and ports, it has Ethernet, HDMI Out, USB 3.0, as well as a card reader. It also has WiFi.
On the security front, the Folio 13 will feature a TPM Embedded Security Chip to protect your hard-drive information & email data. To ensure that your Ultrabook does not get heated up, you have HP CoolSense technology and there is multi-touch gesture support with HP ImagePad. Also onboard is HP TrueVision HD webcam and Dolby Advanced Audio system.Read more
