The next DROID smartphone – the long-awaited DROID BIONIC - will be hitting Verizon Wireless stores tomorrow, September 8th.
The company's first 4G LTE smartphone to include dual-core 1 GHz processors, it comes packed with 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB memory (16 GB on board and 16 GB microSD card pre-installed), an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, and a front-facing camera for video chat. The DROID BIONIC can record 1080p HD video, which can be viewed on the phone's 4.3-inch qHD display. It boasts 4G LTE download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps/upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps, giving you just what you need for fast web browsing and much more. It also happens to be the thinnest 4G LTE smartphone offered from Verizon to date.
But more than a smartphone, this Android-powered (2.3.4 Gingerbread) DROID BIONIC can be turned into a multimedia hub. ZumoCast by Motorola is an application that lets you bring the videos, music, pictures and documents stored on your computer to your handset via remote access. And its Webtop application, DROID BIONIC can beam a full-featured Firefox Web browser 4.0, email or documents to a TV or monitor.Read more
