Sometimes you just want a simple digital camera, one that is easy to use without loads of bells-and-whistles. Samsung's latest point-and-shoot cameras do just that. The value-packed PL20 and ES80 come in at an affordable $119.99 and $99.99, respectively.

While nicely priced, the cameras still pack in the features without giving the entry-level photographer more than they can handle. The PL20 touts a 27mm wide angle and a 5x optical zoom, 720p HD movie recording at 24 frames per second, image stabilization, and a Li-ion rechargeable battery. The PL20 also includes artistic filters such as 'fish-eye', 'miniature' and 'sketch' for adding special effects to photos.

The ES80 is another easy-to-use and affordable option, boasting 12-megapixels and a 5x optical zoom. It features Face Detection which recognizes up to 10 different faces, Beauty Shot which adjusts brightness and face tone, and Smile and Blink detection which will automatically shoot another picture for you if eyes are closed. It also has a Self Portrait feature which emits a sound letting you know when the camera is about to take the picture, and an internal charging system so you don't have to worry about running out of power.Read more
