AOC this week took the wraps off the e2752Vh, a widescreen 27-inch LED monitor that is not only energy efficient but delivers solid performance with a 2ms response time. The display also features two built-in 2.5 watt speakers for SRS-quality sound, can display 16.7 million colors and offers an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1.

In addition, the e2752Vh features digital and power connections that are rear-facing for direct insertion, making them more convenient than your standard downward-pointing ports. The monitor settings can be adjusted via the on-screen menu system (available in 14 languages), and the iMenu option also allows you to change settings using only the keyboard and mouse. Other features include embedded Screen+ software that divides the screen into four work areas, and an Off Timer that sets an alarm clock to turn off the monitor automatically. It's VESA 100mm wall mount compliant too, meaning it can be used on a desktop or mounted on the wall to save space.

ENERGY STAR-compliant, the e2752Vh also reduces energy costs and environmental impact. The display's LED backlight is completely free of toxic Mercury, and the monitor also includes an eSaver feature that lets you preset power conservation modes for the display when the PC is not in use. AOC on Thursday unveiled the new Touch Monitor (model e2239FwT), a 22-inch widescreen Full HD LED monitor with multi-touch functionality. Great for notebook computer users who want a larger screen or desktop PC owners who want to add multi-touch input, the AOC Touch Monitor is now available for $299.

The Touch Monitor offers 16:9 widescreen Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, 10,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, and a 5ms response time. It also includes a built-in SRS speaker bar, two side-mounted HDMI ports and two USB 2.0 ports.

On the aesthetic side, the monitor has a piano black bezel with a white high gloss back and features two legs instead of a central stand, allowing users to put a keyboard beneath the monitor. Notebook users can also open their laptop, slide the screen underneath and easily connect the display via D-sub, USB or HDMI cable.

It's eco-friendly too. Thanks to the monitor's LED backlight panel, power consumption is lowered up to 50 percent, consuming 0.1W in standby mode and less than 25W in normal mode. There's a Power Off Timer as well, so users can schedule a time for the monitor to automatically turn off.
