T-Mobile G-Slate Coming this Spring

 T-Mobile G-Slate

First introduced at CES last month, T-Mobile has officially announced the G-Slate. This Android 3.0 (Honeycomb)-powered tablet features a high-definition 8.9-inch, multi-touch display, and even has the ability to record 3D and full HD video.

Expected to be available this spring, the G-Slate is the first 4G tablet from T-Mobile and LG, and is one of the first tablets to feature 3D capabilities (using 3D glasses, of course).

The T-Mobile G-Slate features a rear-facing stereoscopic video recorder with 1080p for HD video capture and a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. With the front-facing camera, you can video chat with friends over T-Mobile's network or Wi-Fi with Google Talk. The G-Slate also supports 720p HD video playback and has HDMI output to display 1080p content on 3D and HD displays.

It has 32GB of internal memory and features NVIDIA's Tegra 2 mobile processor with dual-core CPU, a built-in gyroscope, accelerometer, adaptive lighting and also offers Adobe Flash Player support.

T-Mobile still hasn't announced pricing, but at least we know (sort of) when it will be hitting store shelves (this spring). You can visit the T-Mobile G-Slate product page to register for updates.

T-Mobile G-Slate Revealed

This week at 2011 International CES, T-Mobile and LG Mobile Phones unveiled the upcoming Android Honeycomb-powered T-Mobile G-Slate with Google, by LG. Expected to be available in coming months, the G-Slate will be the first 4G tablet from the two companies powered by Android 3.0, the upcoming version of Google's Android platform optimized for tablets.

The T-Mobile G-Slate will be one of the first 4G tablets to feature the Android 3.0 platform, which was designed for devices with larger screen sizes, like tablets. The Honeycomb user experience improves on Android favorites such as widgets, multi-tasking, browsing, notifications and customization. It will also feature the latest Google Mobile innovations including Google Maps 5.0 with 3D interaction, more than 3 million eBooks and Google Talk with video and voice chat.
