Last month Olympus introduced [ib on the net] a new online photo service. Now, they bring us [ib suite], an "end-to-end photo and video solution" that consists of www.ibonthenet.com and [ib] PC software. The new [ib suite] has everything you need to move photos and videos from your camera to PC; then gives you a place to store, organize, edit, print and share your memories.

Features include:

Organizing: The software automatically downloads photos and video, and walks you through tagging your photos by person (identified by face recognition technology), place, event, date and more.

Sharing: Set up an online Share Space where members you invite can view and even add photos. Now, with one click they also can download the full resolution images.

Creating: [ib suite] allows you to use your photo collections to design custom photo books and order prints, and create multimedia video slideshows (using your own music).

Editing: One click "Instant-Fix" improves photos. Other editing features include Red-Eye and Crop. When used with Olympus cameras, you have additional features including RAW file development and export, as well as special effects like Beautifier, Sepia, Pop-Art and Panorama. [ib on the net] offers:

Photo Space: Organize your pictures by people, place or event and share them online with friends or family. You decide which pictures to share and who to share them with. Friends and family can also upload pictures to your albums – only if you let them. Price: 2GB free storage (for a limited time). Additional storage space is $2.00/GB per year. The service is currently only accepting JPEG images.

Share Space: Transfer pictures you want shared to your Share Space and you can organize them by people, place or event. Based on your settings friends can view, comment, download and add photos to your share spaces.Read more
