T-Mobile this week unveiled the T-Mobile G2 with Google, the company's first 4G smartphone. Specifically designed for T-Mobile's new HSPA+ network, the G2 is built on Android 2.2 and features the Snapdragon MSM7230 mobile processor. The successor to the T-Mobile G1, the G2 features a 3.7-inch screen with a hinge design that opens to a full QWERTY keyboard. Current T-Mobile customers will get first dibs on the G2 starting later this month.
The G2 offers seven customizable home screen panels, and is one of the first smartphones with the Voice Actions feature of Google Search. It is also the first smartphone with integrated access to Google Voice. The G2 comes loaded with additional Google services including Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps with Places and Navigation, YouTube, Google Talk and Google Earth, and more.
The G2 also touts a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus and records HD (720p) video. It comes with an 8GB microSD card pre-installed (with support for up to 32GB), as well as a music player.Read more
