Here at BestStuff, we like to keep you up to date with some of the hottest products hitting the marketplace; such is the case with Onkyo's latest home theater receivers. Adding two new models to its HT-RC line, the HT-RC260 and HT-RC270, Onkyo delivers not only performance and quality, but value.
Case in point: the HT-RC260. With a price tag of $499, it may be considered an entry-level A/V receiver to some, but it is far from that. This 7.2-channel system features six 3D-Ready HDMI-1.4a inputs and supports lossless high-definition surround sound via Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio codecs, as well as the surround formats of Audyssey DSX and Dolby Pro Logic IIz. Burr-Brown 192kHz/24-bit DACs are also provided for all channels. The amplifiers tout 100 watts per channel, have WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology) and three-stage inverted Darlington circuitry. Faroudja DCDI Cinema video processing is used to upscale video to full 1080p output.
The HT-RC260 also includes a Universal Port for hooking up peripherals, and if you want music in another room, the receiver has Zone 2 line-outs and speaker outputs. Sound like "entry-level" to you? Didn't think so. The Onkyo HT-RC260 is available now for $499.Read more
