Panasonic announced its first full hybrid digital camera with a MOS sensor, the LUMIX FZ100. The 14.1-megapixel FZ100 features a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with 24x optical zoom, a 3.0-inch LCD and can record full 1080 HD video in AVCHD format.
The camera can shoot up to 11fps at full resolution in burst mode and increases the frames per second to a whopping 60 in 3.5-megapixel recording. Additional features include continuous Auto Focus up to 5fps at full resolution, an Intelligent Burst mode, and a new addition to the Intelligent Auto (iA) mode is a Motion Deblur mode. The motion detection and brightness control has been updated, and in conjunction with the O.I.S, Motion Deblur helps prevent blur from shaky hands or a fast moving subject. The FZ100 also includes the standard iA suite of features: POWER O.I.S., Face Recognition, Face Detection, AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Intelligent Exposure. You can also use Panasonic's iA while shooting video.Read more
