Early History
When Jimi Hendrix lit his guitar aflame at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, he was part of an era that introduced what is known today as The Summer of Love. It was the beginning of a musical revolution that included bands like Big Brother & The Holding Company, The Who, and Jefferson Airplane.
