Nintendo is adding a new color to its DSi XL lineup. On September 18th, you'll be able to purchase the device in Metallic Rose, a color Nintendo describes as "an eye-catching shade of pink with a luminous modern sheen."

Nintendo DSi XL features two 4.2-inch screens that are 93 percent larger than the ones found on the Nintendo DS Lite system. It has two built-in cameras, Facebook photo integration and pre-loaded software including Flipnote Studio, Brain Age Express: Math, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters and Photo Clock. You can also download additional content via the Nintendo DSi Shop (broadband Internet access required).

Other color options for the Nintendo DSi XL (which are still available) include Bronze, Midnight Blue and Burgundy. Nintendo DSi XL is available for $169.99.

Nintendo Announces New Online Activities for 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda

Zelda Developers to Judge Top Consumer-Created Flipnote Studio Animations

August 8, 2011--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The 25th anniversary celebration of The Legend of Zelda continues with the launch of a new website and a creative challenge for fans of the iconic Nintendo series. For 25 years The Legend of Zelda has chronicled the adventures of heroic Link and Princess Zelda. Now fans can share their passion for the series and document its history with a new 25th anniversary website at http://www.zelda.com/25th. The anniversary website includes an interactive history of The Legend of Zelda, as well as a video featuring an orchestra performing music from the series at the 2011 E3 Expo.

Starting today through Sept. 9, Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL owners are also invited to create their own flipnotes, or short animations, inspired by The Legend of Zelda series. Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL owners can use one of three flipnote templates with music from The Legend of Zelda series, then complete and upload their creations via the Flipnote Studio application. Flipnote Studio is available as a free download from the Nintendo DSiWare service, and also comes pre-installed on select Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL hardware. Fans can also submit a paper entry by mail. Nintendo Announces New DSi Bundles for Black Friday

Nintendo just announced that two new Nintendo DSi bundles will be hitting store shelves on Black Friday. Available in either orange or green, the DSi will come bundled with the Mario Party DS game. The new colors go on sale on Nov. 26 and will be available while supplies last for $149.99.

The two new colors join Nintendo's other bundles for the holidays that are being released in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game on the NES. These include the limited-edition red Nintendo DSi XL bundle, which includes a red Nintendo DSi XL with three Super Mario Bros.-themed graphics, the Mario Kart DS game, and preloaded software titles including Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Math and Photo Clock at $179.99. Nintendo Drops Prices of DSi and DSi XL

Nintendo is dropping the price of its Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL video game systems. Beginning Sept. 12, 2010, the new price of the Nintendo DSi system will be $149.99, and the new price for the Nintendo DSi XL system will be $169.99. The Nintendo DS Lite model will remain at $129.99.

Both systems feature two built-in cameras and photo- and sound-manipulation software. The Nintendo DSi XL system touts a screen that is 93 percent larger than the Nintendo DS Lite and comes pre-loaded with software like Brain Age Express: Math, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Flipnote Studio, Photo Clock and the Nintendo DSi Browser.

Nintendo DSi XL Launches March 28

Nintendo has a new handheld gaming system hitting store shelves this March, the DSi XL. The screen is 93% larger than the DS Lite and its wider viewing angle gives your friends a better view of your gaming skills. The stylus is larger too, making it easier to play games on the touch screen.

The system comes loaded with Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Math and Photo Clock pre-installed, as well as two free apps: the Nintendo DSi Browser and Flipnote Studio.

The Nintendo DSi XL will be available on March 28 for $189.99 in two colors – Burgundy and Bronze.

Also available on March 28 are two new games for the entire DS family, America's Test Kitchen: Let's Get Cooking and WarioWare: D.I.Y.
