Brother has a new mobile scanner offering duplex scanning capabilities. The compact DSmobile DS-700D makes it easy for business professional to convert hard-copy documents to electronic files while on-the-go.

The DS-700D can scan all types of media – from paper documents and business cards, to thicker laminated materials such as insurance cards, driver licenses or ID cards at up to 600 dpi, and its high-speed duplex scanning quickly scans two-sided monochrome or color documents in a single pass. Documents are scanned to your computer as Adobe Acrobat PDF, JPG or TIFF files for saving or e-mailing. In addition, Presto! BizCard software is included for scanning and exporting contact information directly to Microsoft Outlook and other contact management programs.

Brother has a new series of all-in-one color inkjet printers for the small office / home office (SOHO) crowd – the MFC-J280W, MFC-J430W, MFC-J625DW and the MFC-J825DW – which includes the first AiO unit under $149 to feature both easy-to-set-up wireless capabilities and built-in two-sided printing.

Starting at just $99.99, the new SOHO inkjets include user-friendly setup software, Innobella quick front-loading four-cartridge ink system, and offer toll-free technical support for the life of the machine, competitive ink pricing, and mobile device printing capabilities. The MFC-J825DW, the flagship of the series, features built-in two-sided printing and the ability to print directly on blank CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs. Brother has a new line of P-touch labelers designed specifically to help office professionals stay organized. The company's "Simply Professional" line includes two models - the PT-2030 and PT-2730. Both come with features such as multiple line graphical displays, font options, and a handy "label collection" lets you quickly print 50 pre-stored label designs.

The P-touch PT-2030 creates laminated labels with a choice of four fonts, 16 framing options, 10 type styles and a variety of symbols. Up to 5 lines of text can be printed on each label (which can be previewed prior to printing), and a manual tape cutter easily cuts the labels. Brother recently unveiled a handful of new laser printers for the small office/home office. Included in the offerings are new all-in-ones, color, as well as monochrome laser printers.

The newest color laser all-in-ones from Brother, the MFC-9000 Series (MFC-9460CDN, MFC-9560CDW, MFC-9970CDW), have category-leading print speeds and built-in wired interfaces. They also include productivity features such as duplex printing and high-volume replacement toner cartridges, which help to reduce operating costs.

The flagship of the product line, the MFC-9970CDW includes a five-inch color touch screen for navigation and menu selection, a first for a Brother laser. It also touts a monthly duty cycle of 60,000 pages (max.), great for higher-volume printing environments such as realtors. Read more
