Gateway today unveiled three new HD LED monitors that, in addition to being really nice to look at, have eco-friendly features. The Gateway models are available in three sizes – the 21.5-inch FHX2152L, 24-inch FHX2402L, and the 23-inch FHD2303L.

All of the new monitors tout an impressive 12,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 1920x1080 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The FHX models feature a fast 2ms response time and the Gateway FHD model has a 5ms response time. All three models also deliver 250 cd/m2 brightness and 16.7M colors. Connectivity options include VGA or DVI port with HDCP protection. The 23-inch FHD2303L and the 24-inch FHX2402L also have HDMI connectivity.Read more

Gateway announced a new notebook in its NV Series this week, the NV59C66u, featuring 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as integrated WiMAX.

The NV Series is available in two sizes: a 15.6-inch model with 1366x768 resolution, and a 17.1-inch with 1600x900 resolution. Both are LED-backlit TFT displays. They offer the choice of Intel Core i3 and Core i5 as well as AMD Athlon and AMD Turion, processors, include up to 4GB of DDR3 memory (upgradeable to 8GB) and have hard drives ranging from 320GB to 500GB.

Additional features include an HD webcam with 1280x1024 resolution, media card reader, Gateway's "social networking" button, a choice of either DVD or Blu-ray drives, Gigabit Ethernet LAN connectivity, and an HDMI port. Read more

Gateway last week introduced the new Gateway LT32 Series netbook line. Not a stripped down netbook, this line uses AMD Athlon II Neo processors and ATI graphics. It even has an HDMI port for connecting to your HDTV.

The LT32 weighs just 2.76 pounds, is less than an inch thin and features an 11.6-inch HD LED-backlit display, 2GB of DDR3 memory and ATI Radeon HD 4225 Graphics with 384MB of dedicated system memory. It also has a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, multi-gesture touchpad, HD webcam, built-in digital microphone and full size keyboard.

Additional features include three USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA ports and a multi-in-one digital card reader. The LT32 Series touts a battery life of up to 5.5 hours.

The new Gateway LT32 Series also has a dedicated social networking function key to launch Facebook, YouTube and Flickr. It is available now starting at $449.99.

Gateway added new models in its touch-screen all-in-one ZX Series desktop computer line. The new ZX4300 line adds AMD Athlon II X2 processors, while the ZX6900 Series features Intel's Core i3 and i5 processors and a Blu-ray drive.

The new ZX4300-01e includes an AMD Athlon II X2 235e processor, 640GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive and ATI Radeon HD 4270 graphics, and has enough horsepower to give most mainstream desktops a run for their money. The Gateway One ZX4300-01e will be available the first week of June. Additional models will be available in July and will include TV tuners and faster AMD processors.

"Because all-in-ones integrate a desktop tower into the back of a flat-panel display, they typically use smaller, less powerful notebook components that don't require a lot of space," said Steve Smith, senior business manager of consumer desktops, Acer America. Gateway has updated its NV Series of notebook PCs. The Gateway NV line is available in two sizes – the NV5 Series sports a 15.6-inch display and the NV7 Series has a 17.3-inch display. The NV Series also includes handy little "social networking" button that lets you access and update Facebook, YouTube and Flickr, etc. by simply touching the button.

All models have High Definition LED-backlit TFT Widescreen displays. The NV5 15.6-inch display has 1366x768 resolution, while the Gateway NV7 Series sports 1600x900 resolution. Additional features include a choice of Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors or AMD Athlon and AMD Turion processors, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory (upgradeable to 8GB), hard drives from 320GB to 640GB, two built-in stereo speakers, a media card reader, an HDMI port, 802.11b/g/n WiFi Certified connectivity, a High-definition webcam with 1280x1024 resolution, and Gigabit Ethernet LAN connectivity. Gateway today announced new desktop PCs for gamers, multimedia enthusiasts, as well as those looking for a small form factor computer.

Two new FX Series gaming PCs were unveiled. Both come packed with a 1.5TB drive, ATI Radeon HD5850 graphics, Intel Core i7-860 processor with Turbo Boost Technology, 16X DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti Drive and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The FX6831-03 also boasts a Blu-ray drive and 16GB of DDR3 memory.

The FX Series has been redesigned too. Featuring new lighting accents, and a modernized chassis, not only does it look cool, the new design makes it easy to access ports. The top front of the PC includes high-def headphone and microphone jacks and an angled media card reader. It also includes a recessed storage tray on the top of the chassis, so you can place your camera, MP3 player etc. on it when downloading files. Two additional USB ports are on the back of the tray.
