Hulu Plus Launches Today, Now Priced at $7.99 Per Month

Hulu Plus officially launched today, allowing you to stream full current seasons and a library of back seasons of hit TV shows from ABC, FOX, NBC, and more, in HD, to computers, internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, mobile phones, and tablets, for $7.99 per month. That's a drop of $2.00/month; subscribers using Hulu Plus during the preview period were paying $9.99 a month. Hulu is making it up to the preview subscribers though – they will receive a credit for the difference from the $9.99 preview price (applied automatically to their next billing cycle).

Hulu Plus Now Offered on Sony's Dash

Sony announced on Thursday that the Hulu Plus is now available on the Dash Personal Internet Viewer. Hulu Plus subscribers can now access the the latest TV episodes, movies and more.

Hulu Plus offers episodes from dozens of current ABC, FOX and NBC hit programs including Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, Glee, Family Guy, The Office and 30 Rock. In addition to full episodes, Hulu Plus also offers clips and featurettes for many shows.

Hulu Plus is available for $9.99 per month and joins more than 1,000 free apps available on the Dash including social networking, news, weather, sports, and online radio and video.

Dash is a Wi-Fi connected device that features a vivid 7-inch color touch screen and built-in stereo speakers. Dash allows users to create their own personal app playlist. Its content library continues to expand, most recently with SHOUTcast Internet Radio and several useful calendar and organizational apps. Back in January at CES, Sony unveiled its dash Personal Internet Viewer, a 7-inch touchscreen tablet-like device with access to over 1,000 apps including Netflix, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. The company announced on Thursday that the dash is now available.

In addition to all the apps (accessed via Wi-Fi connection), Sony's dash features a 7-inch color screen, built-in stereo speakers, a USB port and headphone output jack. The dash also supports multitasking and several user profiles can also be created…one for every member of the family.

Sony's Dash to Stream Netflix

Last month we told you about Sony's dash personal Internet viewer device that was unveiled at CES. Now, Sony has announced that the dash will be able to stream movies and TV episodes via Netflix.

But that's not all. They have also added eHow, Golflink and LIVESTRONG.COM to the content lineup, giving you over 1,500 apps available from Sony's Bravia Internet Video platform.

Last week at CES, Sony launched dash, a new "personal Internet viewer." This tablet-like device features a 7-inch color screen with access to over 1,000 free Internet apps (news, calendars, weather, sports, social networking, etc.), built-in stereo speakers, a USB port, headphone output jack, and uses your home wireless connection to deliver Internet content.

The device features an internal accelerometer allowing you to place it upright or tilted. Multiple user profiles and channels are also supported, so several members of the household can create their own customized view of the Internet.
