Boxee Begins Shipping Live TV Tuner

 Boxee Live TV Tuner

Have you thought of cutting the cord and saying goodbye to your cable TV subscription? You're not alone. And with Boxee's new Live TV stick; you just might get rid of that cable bill for good.

So, what does this little $49 stick do? The Live TV Tuner allows Boxee Box owners to watch live sports, local news, special events, and shows from local broadcast stations (like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC) via an HD antenna. And the best part? There are no monthly fees!

The Boxee Live TV Tuner will also add a full program guide for users, but unfortunately DVR recording isn't available at this time. Hopefully this feature will be available in the near future.

Customers that have already pre-ordered the device, you'll be happy to know that Boxee began shipping units out today (January 23). Read more
