Canon Intros New PowerShot Digital Cameras, VIXIA HD Camcorders and More at CES

Canon is starting off the New Year with a bang, announcing new PowerShot digital cameras, VIXIA HD camcorders, PIXMA Office printers, and a new professional series camcorder at this years' Consumer Electronics Show. Not to mention their recently announced EOS DSLR cameras and lenses, imagePROGRAF large format printers and imageCLASS laser multifunction printers. Here is a rundown of Canon's new offerings:

Canon VIXIA HD Camcorders

Canon just introduced eight new VIXIA HD camcorders with a variety of new and exciting features. For the consumer looking for a camcorder providing superb HD video performance and quality, look no further than the Canon VIXIA HF M41 Flash Memory camcorder. This camcorder features Canon's new HD CMOS Pro Image Sensor, a professional-level 1/3-inch native 1920 x 1080 sensor which uses significantly larger, more sensitive pixels, resulting in high video resolution, outstanding low-light performance and expanded dynamic range. A 3.0-inch Touch Panel LCD screen has been included as well for a large display and easy menu navigation. The VIXIA HF M41 Flash Memory camcorder will be available in March for $799.99. Canon Unveils Four New A-Series Digital Cameras


 Canon PowerShot A3100 IS Digital

Canon unveiled four new PowerShot A-Series digital cameras today - the PowerShot A3100 IS, A3000 IS, A495 and A490. All of the A-Series digital cameras feature a new creative scene mode, and two of the A-Series models have a new rechargeable lithium-ion battery for a longer battery life.

The Canon PowerShot A3100 IS digital camera is available in red, blue and silver, while the PowerShot A3000 IS is offered in a two-toned black and silver casing. Both cameras have features such as 12.1-Megapixel and 10-Megapixel resolution, respectfully; a 4x Optical Zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization; a 2.7-inch LCD screen; and Smart AUTO mode. New modes such as Low-Light, Super Vivid and Poster Effect mode are also available, as well as Smart FE and the ability to upload video to YouTube. The PowerShot A3100 IS and A3000 IS Digital Cameras will be available in late February for $179.99 and $149.99, respectively. Read more
