We have considered Nikon cameras among the best for years. We're not alone. Nikon's D3S D-SLR was just announced the winner of Popular Science 2010 "Best of What's New" Award in the Gadgets category.
The FX-format D3S received the award from the Popular Science editors because of the cameras' ability to achieve new levels of low-light sensitivity for both photos and HD video, with an ISO sensitivity range from 200 to 12,800 (expandable to ISO 102,400!). Superior image quality and high-speed performance also helped the D3S achieve the "Best of What's New" Award.
"Best of What's New is more than a collection of new technologies and innovative products," said Mark Jannot, editor in chief of Popular Science. "It's a glimpse into the future, and gives us a sense of the way technology will continue to transform everything from our health and the environment to everyday life and even entertainment."Read more
