Samsung Intros Two New DualView Digital Cameras

Earlier this week we told you about the new digital camera offerings from both Panasonic and Fujifilm. So it's only fitting that we include the latest DualView cameras from Samsung. The new 14.2 megapixel ST600 and ST100 build off of the TL225 and TL220, with upgrades to their front LCD screens - they are now 1.8" (their predecessors were 1.5").

The Samsung DualView ST600 and ST100 both feature Schneider KREUZNACH lenses and have Optical and Digital Image Stabilization. The ST600 has a 27mm wide-angle focal length with a 5x optical zoom, while the ST100 is the first Samsung DualView digital camera with an internal 5x optical zoom. Samsung DualView Cameras Make Self-Portraits Simple

Not only did Samsung introduce a new Wi-Fi digital camera with Geotagging yesterday, they also unveiled two new DualView Cameras, the TL225 and TL220. These cameras feature Dual LCD screens on the front and back, allowing the photographer to be the subject of the photo. Gone are the days of awkwardly holding the camera in the air to take a self-portrait.

Both the TL225 and TL220 have a 1.5" LCD on the front of the cameras so you can easily take a self-portrait and actually see what the photo will look like! With a 3.5" wide, 1,152K resolution touch-screen LCD, the new TL225 has one of the highest resolution screens available on a digital camera. This 12.2 mega-pixel camera also features a 27mm wide-angle Schneider KREUZNACH lens with 4.6x optical zoom, for a wider shooting range from a shorter distance. Read more

August 13, 2009 - Samsung Electronics America, Inc., today announced the Samsung DualView Cameras, the TL225 and TL220. These 12.2 mega-pixel, innovative compact digital cameras feature Dual LCD screens, with one LCD on the front of the camera, and a second one on the back of the camera, to give consumers the ability to truly step out from behind the camera and put themselves in the picture.

Delivering an unrivalled user experience, the 1.5" LCD located on the front of the Samsung DualView Cameras now allows consumers to take first-rate photos whether they are behind the camera or in front of it.

Samsung's new TL225 also features a 3.5" wide touch-screen back LCD. At 1,152K resolution, the TL225's LCD delivers almost four times more resolution than traditional cameras and also comes complete with haptic vibration feedback for ease of use.
