The adapter connects directly to the USB 2.0 Micro-B port of the MHL-enabled device, and with the use of an HDMI cable, you can connect the MHL to HDMI adapter to your HDTV.

Also, by connecting the smartphone or tablet's charger to the MHL adapter, the mobile device will remain powered while in use.
