To celebrate their 90th Anniversary, Olympus has announced the 'Olympus Space Project'. During this Space Project, photographs will be taken of the Earth from Space using the company’s E-3 DSLR camera and ZUIKO digital lenses on the next Space Shuttle Discovery mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The Project is designed to examine how the Earth is today and to consider the global environment tomorrow.

Dr. Koichi Wakata, a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut, will be on the ISS for three months taking images of the Earth using Olympus E-3. You will be able to view the photos at the Olympus Space Project Website.
