Simple Ways to Organize Your Photo Memories

Together bookA picture is worth a thousand words, so it's no surprise that at many special occasions we say "cheese" to a blur of flashes. But what happens then? If your pictures end up staying in the film container or on your camera's memory card, they don't do you much good.

There are several easy options for people to enjoy the long lasting memories that photographs can provide. Protecting and Sharing Family Memories

Storing photosOne of the first consumer products a computer owner buys is often a digital camera and/or camcorder. It enables people to capture family moments, memories, special events and celebrations that can be shown, shared and enjoyed for years to come.

They use the PC to edit photos, create digital photo slide shows, edit/produce family event videos and…store their content. All too often the photos/videos are parked on the PC hard drive and there they sit waiting to be enjoyed…or lost.

It takes almost no time you to fill the hard drive with masses of precious family event/activity photos and large video files. It takes even less time for that content to disappear because of a mouse-click or two or hard drive that dies. Read more

When a Little Movie Will Do

Family using 8cm DVD Whether it’s a memorable vacation, an elegant wedding or just the kids playing soccer; it is sometimes difficult to fill a full 2-hour DVD with exciting, memorable video memories. In addition, a growing number of DVD camcorders are being introduced. All of the discs can go directly from the DVD camcorder or DVD burner and immediately be played in virtually any DVD player.

For the best in family short subjects, Verbatim has introduced a family of miniDVD media both DVD-R and DVD-RW as well as double layer DVD-R discs. Like the company’s popular Digital Movie DVD media, the discs look like movie reels. But unlike the larger discs, the 3-inch single layer Mini DVD discs hold 1.4GB of data (compared to 4.7GB) and the mini DL discs hold 2.66GB. The single layer capacity is equal to about 30 minutes of video while the dual layer discs hold about one hour of personal/family highlights. Read more
