Sony has just announced a new line of VAIO PCs that provide a powerful high-definition experience while starting at just $800 for the standard model and $880 equipped with Blu-ray Disc technology.

The NW notebook features an optional Blu-ray Disc ROM drive making it ideal for viewing pristine HD content on-the-go. It also has the added convenience of DVD and CD read/write functionalities.

The model features a high-resolution 15.5-inch widescreen display with Sony's XBRITE-ECO LCD technology. It also comes equipped with HDMI out, built-in webcam/microphone, three USB ports, ExpressCard, SD card and Memory Stick PRO slots, Intel Core 2 Duo processor an optional dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics card, and Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Getac's Ultra-Rugged V100 Gets Some Great New Upgrades

The Getac V100 has always been known for its near indestructibility. However, it has never really been that powerful. Yes, it is a tablet pc, but still, it should have some flair. Well, it looks like it does now!

The upgrades for the Getac V100 include:

  • A Super Bright 1200 NITS LED Display
  • 802.11n
  • ExpressCard slot functionality
  • 1.2 GHz Intel Merom -> 1.4 GHz Intel Penryn
  • Increased in front side bus of 533 MHz -> 800 MHz
  • 2MB L2 cache increased -> 3MB.
  • RAM increased from 2GB -> 4GB.
  • 120GHB HDD (minimum) and 205GB HDD (maximum) increased -> 160GB and 320GB respectively

If you work in an explosive environment, the V100 now features a new UL 1604 certification, which is optional; to help ensure safe, spark-free use of the device in potentially explosive environments. The Most Powerful 15-inch Gaming Laptop Ever?

Announced by iBUYPOWER, the M865TU gaming laptop just might be the most powerful 15-inch gaming laptop ever. Also, under the hood, is a 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9800 processor and up to 4GB DDR3 memory.

The Acer Aspire Timeline series features three different sized versions. All three versions are equipped with a 16:9 (1366 x 768 resolution) LED-backlit display, an Intel 4500MHD graphics card and a battery that is said to last over 8 hours.

The 15.6-inch version features a 1.3GHz Pentium SU2700 processor for $598, while the 14-inch version comes equipped with a 1.4GHz SU3500 Core Solo unit at $699 and finally, the 13.3-inch edition, houses a 1.4GHz SU9400 Core 2 Duo and is priced at $899.

The Alienware m17x laptop will pack a pair of 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPUs, along with a Core 2 Extreme quad-core CPU. Some options include shoving up to 8GB of 1333MHz DDR3 RAM and a 1TB (7200-rpm) HDD or a 512GB SSD into this beast. Additionally, you can opt for a 1920 x 1200 pixel edge-to-edge LCD screen.

Dell Unveils Powerful Studio 14z Laptop

The Dell Studio 14z is designed for portability and performance with its 14-inch screen and its integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card. Dell also offers either the Intel Pentium Dual Core or Intel Core 2 Duo standard voltage processors up to T9550 (2.66GHz, 1066Mhz FSB, 6MB Cache) and up to 500GB of HDD space.

The Dell Studio 14z laptop sports a stylish, thin (0.79–1.2-inches) design for students and digital downloaders and a standard Six-cell battery, with an optional "slim design" 8-cell battery that should last for about 6 ½ hours.

Lenovo Releasing a Sub-1-inch Thin Laptop for Around $700!
