 HP ProBook 5310m

September 15, 2009 - HP today introduced the world's thinnest full-performance notebook PC(1) as well as a slim, stylish consumer notebook that delivers an optimal balance of mobility, performance and affordability.

The thin and light notebook market represents a significant growth opportunity over the next several years, according to IDC. The new HP ProBook 5310m and HP Pavilion dm3 expand the market for the category, an area HP pioneered earlier this year with the introduction of the affordable HP Pavilion dv2.

Designed for mobile professionals, the HP ProBook 5310m, the world's thinnest full-performance notebook, is a 0.9-inch thin, 3.7 pound notebook sporting a 13.3-inch diagonal LED high-definition (HD) display and a standard voltage processor for maximum productivity. Laptop Lifts Offer PC Protection

By Jeff Zbar

 Laptop Lift

Laptop Lifts raise the laptop, netbook or Macbook - and protect from spills and overheating.

You're sitting at your desk or a coffee shop table, and you spill your drink. Your laptop, netbook or Macbook computer – low and snug to the table – gets soaked and fried in a flood of fluid.

So how about a simple solution: A few small strips of adhesive-backed silicon stuck to the bottom of the computer, raising the device a mere quarter inch, allowing safe passage for an otherwise disastrous deluge. Such is the premise of Laptop Lifts (www.laptoplifts.com). The product and its creator offer a plethora of PC protections — and lessons in entrepreneurship.

For less than $10, the new product from Orlando entrepreneur Chris Adams provides a why-didn't-I-think-of-that silly-simple solution to protecting a PC permanently from some of the perils of laptop computing.Read more
