PSPgo is Officially a Go!

The PSPgo will go on sale in North America, Europe/ PAL territories and Asian countries and regions on October 1st, 2009 at a recommended retail price (RRP) of US$249 and euro 249. Japan will, surprisingly, be last to get the PSPgo on November 1st, 2009 at a RRP of 26,800 yen (including tax).

The PSPgo will remove the UMD loading tray and replace it with 16GB of internal memory. This will be greatly useful with PSP now having access to the PSN store.

When the PSP launches, the colors will be Piano Black and Pearl White. The current PSP 3000 will be sold alongside the PSPgo so consumers can choose which one suits him/her best.Read more

Sony's E3 Press Conference Rundown


 God of War III

God of War III was shown off at Sony's E3 press conference and will be ripping apart stores this March!

The PSP GO became official, featuring 16GB of internal memory. It will be available October 1st for $249. The Massive Action Game, MAG was shown off, too, with 256 people playing against one another online. MAG will drop this Fall.

Rejoice! Final Fantasy VII is available for download on the PSN Store! A new IP was unveiled, Agent, where you'll play as a 1970's assassin. Final Fantasy XIV was announced as a PS3 exclusive title and will be available next year. This looks like it will be a new Final Fantasy Online title.Read more

Nintendo's E3 Press Conference Rundown


 Wii Vitality Sensor

The Wii Vitality Sensor was shown off at Nintendo's E3 press conference which took place today. It's a finger sensor that attaches to the Wiimote and to your finger to read your pulse. There were no details about how this could be used with games.

It was also announced that Wii Fit Plus will drop this Fall. It will feature six new training exercises and fifteen new balance board mini-games. Also, you will be able to set up routines that tone particular parts of you body.Read more

Microsoft's E3 Press Conference Rundown


 Project Natal

The big news was the motion sensor, Natal, which is a camera and a sensor bar that just plugs directly into the 360. Natal recognizes faces, body movements, objects, and even voices in order to integrate the player into the gaming environment. You can even browse the NXE using hand controls as in the movie Minority Report. Natal will automatically pick up who is in front of it and log that person into Xbox LIVE.

The video store will now be Zune-branded with 1080p instant-on streaming content in 18 countries. There will also be Facebook, Twitter and Last.FM integration.Read more

Sony Announces 80GB PlayStation 3, New PS 2 Bundle, and PSP Entertainment Pack at E3 2008

July 15, 2008 – Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) held its annual press conference today at the E3 Media & Business Summit, making a series of announcements which demonstrated the strength of the PlayStation brand across all three of its platforms and further leveraged the heritage and momentum of PlayStation’s family of products to provide consumers with more compelling entertainment options than anyone in the videogame industry.

Nintendo Redefines Game Control, Puts Spotlight on Community Building

E3 & The DaVinci Code

The book – regardless of what you believe – was a huge success. It was turned into a movie set to be released May 19. It was whipped out as a video game hitting the stores May 19.

E3 was all about a lot of sequels. Lots of noise. Lots of mixed messages. Lots of promises. Lots of deliverables … later!

Folks who had been raised on Tetras, Slime World, Electrocop, Mario, Blue Lightning and hundreds of other simplified games had snuck away from their offices around the globe and scurried to LaLa Land to attend E3. They were there to get the straight facts about the battle of the console titans. They were there to see what new parallel universe world they could escape to.
