Verbatim today announced their new InSight Portable USB Hard Drives. The two drives, in 320GB and 500GB capacities, feature an Always On display that calculates and displays available free space – even when disconnected from the computer.

Verbatim's new InSight Portable Hard Drives weigh less than 6 ounces, and measure just 6 in. x 3.4 in. x 0.63 in. The 2.5" drives have a 5400rpm spindle speed and also feature 8MB of cache memory. Perfect for Verizon customers who travel the world, the new AD3700 Mobile Broadband USB modem gives you access to high-speed networks in more than 175 destinations including Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO), Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)/General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)/Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution (EDGE) and High Speed Packet Access (HSPA)/Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) wireless platforms.

Verbatim just announced two new TUFF-CLIP USB Drives. Weighing less than 2 ounces, these new 4GB (turquoise) and 8GB (black) flash drives are not only convenient, but offer industrial strength toughness. The TUFF-CLIP USB drives are made of rugged plastic and feature a retractable slider that protects the USB connector. The USB drives also have an integrated carabineer clip that can be attached to a backpack, belt loop, notebook or key chain. The core clock speed and the SDR DRAM cache have been bumped from 166MHz to 180MHz and have a 64MB onboard cache. These drives also house a custom firmware designed specifically for performance junkies. OCZ also states that we will see read and write speeds of up to 270MBps and 210MBps, respectively. The Vertex Turbo SSD will come backed with an industry leading 3 Year Warranty, as well.
