Genius just launched the SP-HF500A, a two-way Hi-Fi wood-enclosed speaker set that is priced under $50! Great for watching movies from your PC, listening to music or playing video games, the speakers feature a three-inch driver powered by a 14W amplifier. There is also a button for power control and one for timbre right on the front of the speaker cabinet.

Other features include an extra line-in jack to connect an iPod, MP3 player, or CD player without disconnecting the speakers from a PC, as well as a headphone jack for private listening.

The Genius SP-HF500A speakers are priced at $44.99 and will be available in November 2009.

New iPod nano has Built-in Video Camera, FM Radio, Speaker and More

At a press event yesterday, Apple made several announcements – the iPod shuffle now starts in price at $59, iTunes 9 was unveiled, a new iPod touch hit the marketplace, but what really caught our attention was the new iPod nano which now features a built-in video camera, mic and speaker!

The new iPod nano also has a larger 2.2-inch color display and videos can be shot and shared in either portrait or landscape mode. iPod nano can even shoot videos with fun effects such as Thermal, Film Grain, Kaleido and X-Ray. Also new to the nano is Genius Mixes, a feature which creates up to 12 mixes of songs from your iTunes library that go great together. If that's not enough, Apple has added a built-in FM radio with live pause and iTunes Tagging, as well as a built-in pedometer.

The new nano is available now in an 8GB model for $149 and a 16GB model for $179, and comes in nine colors including silver, black, purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, (PRODUCT) RED and pink.

Sony's New S Series Walkman Lets You Share Your Music

Sony's new S Series Walkman Video MP3 player, announced today, features built-in stereo speakers. Now you can share your music out loud without carrying around an additional speaker system.

The S Series Walkman is less than a half-inch thin and has a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD screen (measured diagonally) with playback at up to 30 frames per second. It has a battery life of up to 42 hours of music playback and up to 6.5 hours of video playback through the headphones. Through the speaker, you can expect up to 17 hours of music playback and 5 hours of video playback.

Importing music, video and photos is easy. Simply simple drag-and-drop from your PC's media folder or via iTunes 8.1 using Content Transfer. A handy Voice recording and FM recording feature is also included.Read more

Sennheiser just announced several new full-sized HD headphones for portable players. But not just for your MP3 player, the HD 428, HD 438 and HD 448 also are good enough to use on your home hi-fi system.

All models have soft padding for comfort and a closed-back, around-the-ear design. And, for moving around without getting tangled up, the headphones feature a single-sided cable.
