Gateway has just announced two smaller, more powerful back-to-school desktop PCs. From the tiny small form factor SX Series to the compact DX Series mini-tower line, Gateway's new desktops are big on value, power and features.
The Gateway SX small form factor PC, pictured above, comes with a 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Quad processor, GMA X4500 integrated graphics card, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM, 640GB HDD, an 18x DVD writer, multi-card reader, nine USB 2.0 ports, multi-card reader, firewire and eSATA, HDMI and VGA outputs, and Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. All of this will cost you just $499.
The Gateway DX mini-tower boasts either an Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD Phenom X4 with either an NVIDIA GeForce G210 or ATI Radeon 4650 graphics card. You can also get up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 1TB HDD, eight USB 2.0 ports, and all the other amenities of the SX sff for a starting price of $750.
