What's New In the Gym? HydroRide!

HydroRideSubmerge yourself in one of the newest fitness trends, HydroRide! This takes your indoor cycling (spin class) experience to a new level…poolside. This new class incorporates a state-of-the-art, stainless steel Hydrobike and an exercise program that works the body from head-to-toe. I was a little skeptical at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. I found myself totally engaged in this class working my muscles & lungs. The water's resistance created a full-body workout, while the buoyancy eliminated the impact on my legs. It also felt really good to be in a cool pool on a hot spring day!

Don't come in your bikinis (wear shorts or bike pants), but be prepared to get wet -- you'll climb hills, sprint and test your endurance level with continuous speed changes all while enduring the resistance of water. Another benefit to this class is you won't have to worry about the uncomfortable seat or any other overuse related injuries.

*HydroRide made its debut in New York City at Crunch (555 W. 42nd St.) and will be introduced to Atlanta next month (June). www.crunch.com
