Stephanie’s Mailbag
-Michelle Burton Hi Michelle:
If you’re going to pin me down on calories then approximately 600 calories per hour--but everyone's metabolism's different so there's no hard fast rule. Keep in mind that even if you don't burn a lot of calories during class, exercise increases your metabolism, muscle mass, bone density--and releases endorphins. The other good news is that, when you run or ride in water (this case it's a swimming pool), the water's resistance creates a full-body workout, while the buoyancy eliminates the impact on your legs and joints.
Enjoy!
Stephanie
