Maternity Wear for the Fitness Focused Mom-To-Be

Beginning Spring 2002, Liz Lange Maternity and Nike will join forces in a partnership to produce functional, stylish athletic wear made especially for pregnant women. The new Liz Lange for Nike collection merges the best of the athletic world with the best of the maternity fashion world. The new Liz Lange for Nike label is part of Nike's overall initiative towards providing active women with performance footwear, apparel and equipment. Many of these young women are heeding their doctors' advice and staying fit and active throughout their pregnancies. The Liz Lange for Nike line provides the same level of fit, function and style, or functional beauty, that women have come to expect from Nike's apparel.

The line is designed for the pregnant woman who wants high performance from her workout clothes but at the same time wants to remain fashionable, something that Liz Lange Maternity has successfully done in the non-athletic wear maternity category for years.

The Liz Lange for Nike label will consist of a complete collection of athletic clothing made from Dri-FIT, a proprietary Nike fabrication. The Dri-FIT fabric transports moisture from the skin to the fabric's surface for rapid evaporation, keeping you comfortable longer. All of the pieces in the Liz Lange for Nike line are both functional and stylish, so they can be worn for casual use as well as fitness activities. The versatile Liz Lange for Nike pieces include a Dri-FIT catsuit for yoga, versatile Dri-FIT workout pants in various lengths, Dri-FIT workout tops and shorts with various styling details, great for many different fitness activities.

Pieces from the Liz Lange for Nike collection will be available in a variety of colors including black, white, blue, khaki, navy, rope and additional color combinations. Prices will range from $36 to $90.

The Liz Lange for Nike collection will debut in September 2001 at Liz Lange's "7th on Sixth" fashion show in New York.

The line is expected to begin rolling out to retail locations in Spring 2002. It will be available at all thirteen Niketown stores nationwide and at both Liz Lange store locations in New York and Los Angeles. The line will also be available next summer at the two soon-to-be opened Nike Goddess stores in California. In addition, the Liz Lange for Nike collection will be available through the Liz Lange catalog and online at www.lizlange.com and at www.niketown.com.
