GNC Releases the Pro Performance Elite Series

The vitamin/supplement industry saw close to $19 billion in annual sales in 1999. The year 2000 reported $16 billion -- a 7.4% decline from the previous year. This decline, possibly due to consumer concern over safety issues and the lack of government regulation, has prompted General Nutrition Center (GNC) to take the initiative in the future for the vitamin and supplement industry.
