For about $140, the new top-of-the-line CD receiver (model CDX-GT520) provides the most options for connectivity in the car. The well-designed head unit supports MP3 and non-DRM WMA and AAC codecs. Smile! It’s Two New Cyber-shots from Sony


 Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T200 Sony recently announced two new cameras in its Cyber-shot line --the  DSC-T200 and DSC-T70 (both 8-megapixels). The cameras feature a new smile shutter function, which automatically detects a person smiling. The function can be turned off by pressing the shutter while in smile shutter scene mode (you know, for the disgruntled child in the portrait). Both feature a touch screen that allows you to select the subject you want to focus on (in shooting mode) and what you want to view or where you want to zoom (in playback mode). Read more

 Sony Video WalkmanThought the Walkman was dead? Think again. Sony just announced two new Walkman players to the consumer electronics market. In a move to compete with Apple, their latest Walkman players not only support audio, but now have added video and photos into the mix.

Also announced, they will be doing away with their CONNECT Music Services (not before March 2008) and will now feature an Open Digital Music Environment- meaning they are compatible with Windows Media Audio (WMA), as well as AAC and MP3 music formats. Read more

Sony Unveils First U.S. Walkman Video Players

Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony today took the wraps off two new Walkman players that not only support audio -- but for the first time in the United States -- video.

The new NWZ-A810 and NWZ-S610 series of Walkman digital music players will support an open platform, providing more choices for downloading and managing music and video collections online.

Opera to Provide Browser Technology for Sony's BRAVIA Internet Video Link

August 30, 2007 - Opera Software today announced that Sony Electronics has selected the Opera browser for Sony's new BRAVIA Internet Video Link, a module that attaches to the back of new Bravia televisions to access select free Internet video content. Opera will be used as the browser technology of the system and enable browsing of the available Internet video content that can be streamed directly to the television from providers such as Yahoo!, AOL and Crackle.

The BRAVIA Internet Video Link is available for a majority of Sony's 2007 BRAVIA televisions including flat-panel LCD and SXRD and 3LCD micro-displays HDTVs. The module links the television set directly through HDMI and USB connections and connects to broadband Internet service providers via an Ethernet connection. The content can then be accessed directly on the TV without use of a personal computer. Read more

Sony's Newest DVDirect Recorder Transfers High-Definition Home Videos to DVD
