The T-Mobile Sidekick Is Back

 T-Mobile Sidekick 4G

Did you think the Sidekick was dead and gone? Wrong! T-Mobile announced on Tuesday the new Android-powered Sidekick 4G by Samsung. Featuring the five-row QWERTY keyboard and a spring-loaded hinge found on previous Sidekick's, this one is better than ever with a 3.5-inch touch screen display.

It is powered by Android 2.2 and has a fast 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, along with a VGA front-facing camera and pre-installed T-Mobile Video Chat. Facebook and Twitter apps come preloaded, and it also has a new jump key button that lets you switch between active applications – yes, even during a phone call.

New messaging features include Sidekick Group Text and Cloud Text. Sidekick's Group Text feature lets you create, name, manage and participate in reply-all group text SMS conversations. Cloud Text takes it a step further, allowing you to text with friends or groups across platforms, such as your computer. Read more
