Canon Outs Ten New PowerShot Digital Cameras

Canon on Tuesday took the wraps off of ten new PowerShot digital cameras. The lineup includes Wi-Fi models, a new rugged digital cam, and one with a 20x zoom (to name a few).

First up is the flagship of the ELPH line - the PowerShot ELPH 530 HS. Measuring in at a mere .78 inches thick, this Wi-Fi enabled camera packs a 10-megapixel high-sensitivity CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 image processor, and 12x optical zoom into its tiny body.

The ELPH 530 HS sports a 3.2-inch LCD touch screen and also records 1080p Full HD video. Additional features include Smart AUTO scene selection with 58 scenes, Face ID for up to 12 registered subjects and Intelligent Image Stabilization (IS).

Canon Unveils New PowerShot S100 and SX40 HS

Canon on Thursday announced that two new PowerShot digital cameras will be hitting store shelves soon – the S100 and SX40 HS. Both cameras come packed with a new DIGIC 5 image processor, HS SYSTEM, Full HD video capture, High-speed Burst HQ, and Intelligent IS…but that's not all. A successor the PowerShot S95, the PowerShot S100 features a 12.1-megapixel CMOS image sensor, a 24-120mm wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom, GPS functionality and improved low-light performance of up to ISO 6400. The camera also has an f/2.0 lens, 3.0-inch wide LCD, GPS capabilities, and many shooting and recording modes found on DSLR cameras such as RAW + JPEG, and a control ring for manual adjustment of ISO, zoom and focus.

Canon Unveils Three New PowerShot Digital Cameras

Canon just announced three new PowerShot digital cameras, all three capable of capturing high definition video, along with digital stills. They are the PowerShot SX150 IS, the PowerShot ELPH 510 HS and the PowerShot ELPH 310 HS.

Available in September, the Canon PowerShot SX150 IS features a 14.1-megapixel CCD sensor, 3-inch LCD screen, 12x optical zoom with 28mm wide-angle lens, 720p video capture, Intelligent IS and Smart AUTO. It includes manual-shooting capabilities, such as aperture priority and shutter priority, as well as a discreet-shooting mode for low disturbance when capturing photos.
