Rollei Introduces AA Battery Pack for Rollei Medium Format Cameras

Rollei U.S.A., LLC, distributor of Rollei products in the United States, has introduced the Rollei AA Battery Pack for use on any 6000 series Rolleiflex camera (SLX, 6001, 6002, 6003, 6006 or 6008).“Although we have had great success with the 6000 series cameras when used with our rechargeable on-board battery pack, we have had many requests for alternate power supplies when recharging is not possible,” says Carmen Fiumefreddo, VP and Director of Service for Rollei U.S.A. “Rollei Germany worked very closely with us on this project. With the introduction of the Power Interface (a device that fits into the space usually filled by the rechargeable battery) we can easily attach our external battery pack.” The Rollei AA Battery Pack holds 10 AA sized alkaline, Lithium or Nicad batteries and provides well over 400 exposures from a set of batteries.

The Battery Pack comes in a rugged belt-looped case and has a heavy-duty coiled cord for easy handling and quick release from the camera.

“The Battery Pack will become the perfect carry-along accessory for all Rollei users.” notes Fiumefreddo, “Now photographers can go to remote locations without having to worry about battery chargers. And since the pack can be stored in an inside jacket pocket, your equipment will not be affected by freezing temperatures.”

The Rollei Battery Pack will be available in March 2002.
