New Touch Screen LCD Digital Camera


Toshiba PDR-T10 Toshiba just introduced the new ?button-free? Toshiba PDR-T10, the first digital camera to utilize its LCD as an interactive touch-screen menu. The two-megapixel PDR-T10 also comes with a collection of interchangeable faceplates, including zebra stripes, polka dots, and retro orange. Three faceplates come with the camera, with eight more available to be purchased separately. On the performance side, the PDR-T10 features a 2.2 megapixel CCD sensor with resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 in universal JPEG format at three quality levels.

The PDR-T10 also features an all-glass lens that is equivalent to f=38mm on a 35mm camera. For close-ups there's also a Macro mode that allows picture taking as close as 3.5 inches from the subject. Other features include a 4X digital zoom, user-selectable white balance, exposure control and flash, USB interface, and compatibility with Secure Digital (SD) storage media. The camera ships with a 8MB SD card, allowing storage of up to 80 photos, plus features on-board compatibility with SD cards up to 256MB. By touching the 1.6-inch LCD with a stylus, users can navigate the camera?s menus and icons to control flash and zoom options or to launch the downloading of their pictures to a computer. $399. www.dsc.toshiba.com.
